I am a National Counselling Society Accredited Counsellor. I am on the voluntary register that has been accredited by The Professional Standards Authority.
I work non-judgmentally with warmth, empathy and understanding. I am accepting of all experiences. I work with young people, adults, older adults, couples and families who are suffering emotional turmoil in their lives.
People come to see me when they are feeling unhappy. Maybe they are feeling sad, overwhelmed and are finding it hard to cope or perhaps they don’t really know what is troubling them, they just know that something, is not quite right. Everyone is different, I work alongside each person’s specific need.
I work with many different areas of counselling including: Abuse, Addictions, Affairs and Betrayals, Anger, Anxiety, Bereavement, Depression, Eating Disorders, Family Issues, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Low Self Esteem, Panic Disorder, Phobias, Personal and Work-Related Stress, Relationship Issues, Trauma, Self-Harm, Separation and Divorce and much more. I am a dissociation friendly therapist.
I specialise in Emotional Therapeutic Counselling, a client led talking therapy which focuses on emotions rather than the mind only. I use a range of gentle techniques to help you uncover, explore and express painful emotions to bring about positive change. This effective therapeutic approach supports you to face and understand difficulties in your life, make appropriate changes and move forward feeling stronger, happier and more content.
I offer a free 40 minute no obligation first consultation which gives you time to talk about your needs and to find out more about Emotional Therapeutic Counselling. It also gives you the opportunity to feel if you are comfortable to work with me.
Subsequent one hour Consultations are charged at £40.00 for individuals and £50.00 for couples.
Daytime, evening and weekend appointments available.
